Important: this is an operational transparency draft, not a final lawyer-reviewed privacy policy. It must be reviewed before a paid public launch.
1. This marketing site
This site is a separate, static public surface. It does not connect to the Between Us product prototype, conversation databases, product APIs, provider credentials, or billing systems.
We have not added behavioral analytics, session replay, advertising pixels, marketing cookies, or cross-site tracking. The hosting provider necessarily processes basic request data—such as IP address, browser information, requested page, and timestamp—to deliver and protect the site.
2. Private launch and support email
The “join” and contact links open your own email application. The site itself does not collect or submit a form. If you choose to email us, your message and email address are handled by the email providers involved and retained in the mailbox until deleted.
Do not send conversation recordings, transcripts, private relationship details, passwords, recovery codes, or payment information by email.
3. Mac product launch standard
The Mac app is still in development. Before paid launch, Between Us will verify the following operating promise:
“Nobody at Between Us can view or retrieve your conversations. Audio is processed by Deepgram for transcription and diarization, and transcript content is processed by Anthropic for analysis. Conversation content is sent without your Between Us account information, and Between Us does not store your audio or transcripts.”
This is a target launch standard, not a claim that the unreleased product has completed all required verification. The launch gate includes network inspection, log and storage review, provider canaries, deletion inspection, and legal/provider-policy review.
4. Planned service providers
Deepgram is planned to process audio for transcription and speaker separation. Anthropic is planned to process speaker-labeled transcript content for analysis. Stripe is planned for direct Mac/web billing. Between Us infrastructure is designed to receive account, entitlement, device, consent, usage, cost, and security-event metadata without receiving conversation content.
5. Conversation content is not anonymous
Removing Between Us account identifiers does not make spoken content anonymous. A conversation can include names, locations, employers, health information, or other identifying details. Public product language will not describe transcript content as anonymous.
6. Legal review boundary
This draft does not yet include final controller identity, jurisdiction-specific rights, retention periods for account and billing metadata, provider contract terms, international-transfer language, or a formal privacy request process. Those items require owner and legal review before paid launch.
